Viewing A Home
I have had the chance to sit down with several prospective first-time home buyers over the past month and they have asked me some great questions.  Here's one of them...

Will I actually be going to view houses with you? Or will it sometimes be you and sometimes another agent on your team?

Good question. In almost all cases, it's going to be me.

I don't operate as part of a big team where you sign on with me and then end up seeing properties with someone else. If you're working with me, you're working with me. :-)

Here are the two main exceptions...

1. Out Of Town - If I'm out of town, such as on a trip with my family, and an exciting new listing hits the market, I won't suggest that you wait to see it until I am back in town... especially if it's a house that might not stick around for long. In that case, I'll make arrangements for you to see it with one of my colleagues -- another agent at Funkhouser Real Estate Group -- who is covering for me while I'm out of town.

2. Schedule Mismatches - Sometimes a new listing hits the market and try as we might, your schedule, my schedule, and the seller's showing schedule don't align to allow you to see the house as quickly as you'd like to see it.  If my schedule is the thing holding us back, I'll offer to have one of my associates step in to show you the house so you don't lose the chance to see it.

But outside of those two situations, yes -- if you're working with me to buy a home, you're really working with me.

We'll talk about what is important to you in your next home, we'll start to explore houses together, we'll get to the point of making an offer, and then eventually all the way to the finish line of closing on your home purchase.  One of the things I enjoy most about helping people buy homes is walking through all of the steps of this process together, whether that take one month, six months or even longer.

If you're ready to start considering a home purchase, let me know if you'd like to meet and chat, and ask me questions like this one.  Stay tuned for answers to a few more questions you might have as a buyer.
