A Senior Living Community called The Phoenix at Harrisonburg is opening early next year at the intersection of Stone Spring Road and Boyers Road, across Stone Spring Road from Preston Lake Apartments.

- 18 independent living units (cottages)
- 40 assisted living units
- 26 memory care units
The community will also include "exterior amenities such as a bocce ball court, covered pavilion with fireplace and grill station, and three interior courtyards."
