A large apartment complex is being proposed at the South entrance to downtown Harrisonburg. The development was originally proposed to be called The Link, but is now proposed to be called The Lindsey.
The latest version of the proposed housing development is a smaller (shorter) building... with only four stories instead of the originally proposed six stories.
The Lindsey would include no more than 180 apartments, with no more than a total of 440 bedrooms, to include at least 71 studios and one-bedroom apartments and no more than 85 four-bedroom apartments.
The Lindsey would also include some commercial space (5000 SF) and a parking structure to include 320 parking spaces.
This proposed development has been before Planning Commission and City Council multiple times and as a result of the significant changes in the proposed development, will go before Planning Commission on July 8, 2026.
