Still Buying, Still Selling
January 1, 2022 through November 20, 2022 = 1,445 home sales
January 1, 2023 through November 20, 2023 = 1,082 home sales

As of this week we have seen 25% fewer home sales this year than last!

With fewer and fewer homes selling, sometimes it might feel like there aren't that many homes selling in our area.
But yet, there are still plenty of reasons why buyers are still buying and sellers are still selling.

Sellers are selling because: 
  • they have a new job and are moving out of the area
  • they are moving out of the area for other reasons
  • they need a larger home
  • they need a smaller home
  • they are moving to a retirement community
Buyers are still buying because:
  • they just moved to the area
  • they need a larger home
  • they need a smaller home
  • they are tired of renting
We are likely to close out 2023 with 25% fewer home sales than in 2022 -- and at this point it seems likely that we'll see even fewer in 2024 -- but there will always be some buyers buying and some sellers selling, even if not in as great of numbers as we have seen over the past few years.
