Preston Lake, located just east of Harrisonburg offers single family homes, townhomes, duplexes, a community center -- and soon, a pool!
The fate of the planned pool was uncertain, as a recent version of the proffers for the neighborhood only required the developer to build a pool if two-thirds of owners voted to indicate that they wanted the pool to be built.
Here's the official word that was sent out earlier this week to Preston Lake homeowners...

Good afternoon to all.
On behalf of the Board and the Pool committee we are pleased to share that after an impressive turnout, with 117 of Preston Lake’s 133 residents responding by Friday, April 26, that 100 residents have voted in favor of building the community pool, which exceeded the 88 needed.
The strong support for the pool demonstrates that a majority of residents believe a pool will be a benefit to the community and we look forward to working together to start the design process. With over 2/3 of residents responding in favor of the pool, the proffer condition has been met and we will begin the planning and permitting process right away.
