The number of homes for sale in the City of Harrisonburg keeps dropping.  That's not to say that homes aren't selling -- a total of 423 homes have sold in the City of Harrisonburg during the first 11 months of the year -- putting us at a pace of 38 home sales per month.

But the number of homes available to buyers continues to decline -- now down to 70 homes for sale.  Here's a bit longer of a context....

• End of 2012 = 179 homes for sale
• End of 2013 = 162 homes for sale
• End of 2014 = 150 homes for sale
• End of 2015 = 152 homes for sale
• End of 2016 = 92 homes for sale
• End of 2017 = 64 homes for sale (!!??!!)
  

If we finish out 2018 with only 70 homes for sale, that's a rather precipitous drop from where we were in 2012 - 2015.

If you're looking to buy a home in the City of Harrisonburg it might be difficult to find a home that is a perfect fit or you given a very limited supply of homes for sale. And when a home does come on the market that works for you, it is likely to sell quickly.
