We Might Actually Have a Few Homes to View!

I haven't said that too often over the past five or six years. Since the pandemic, the housing market has ranged from very tight to pretty tight in most price ranges. As a result, buyers often found themselves looking at one house at a time.
During the past five or six years you would often have to consider one house at a time... nothing would be on the market when your home search began... a new listing would come on the market, we would go look at it, decide whether to make an offer, and then wait for a while for another listing to pop up.
These days -- wait for it -- sometimes we can look at several houses at once!
Every home isn't going under contract within a few days, as was happening for quite a whole, so sometimes you'll be able to consider this week's new listing as well as two houses that came on the market last week, and one that came on the market the week before.
It's sort of nice for a buyer -- being able to compare and contrast several houses all in one outing -- and decide which house you would like to pursue.
Certainly, home sellers really enjoyed the past five to six years, as any given new listing typically didn't have any competition at all -- all such competing listings would have already been under contract.
So... buyers... enjoy this new reality. It's definitely the norm over the long term (10+ years) but buyers haven't had this "luxury" very often during the past five to six years.
