Solid House, Great Location, Needs Updating, No Problem

If we focused on any given house's...

    1) build quality

    2) location

    3) interior cosmetic finishes

... which two would you prefer if you're buying a home?

If you can only pick two of those three, most buyers will choose a house that is 1) well built, and 2) in a favorable location, even if it has dated interior cosmetic finishes.

Removing wallpaper, painting walls, replacing flooring, swapping out some light fixtures - these all take time, money and effort - but they can be accomplished over time.  

The other two factors (build quality, location) are more difficult to change or impact over time.

So... don't get scared away by a house that needs some cosmetic updates.  If the build quality and location offer what you're looking for, it could be a great option for you!
