If you're looking to buy a home in Harrisonburg or Rockingham County... some of your best opportunities may be over the next few months!
As we move into September, we'll start to see more homes listed for sale. But at the same time, you'll likely have slightly less competition from other buyers.
More homes for sale... with less competing interest from other buyers... is a good combination for home buyers, especially if you've missed out on any homes over the past few months.
Furthermore, sellers who list in September and October tend to be motivated -- they want to be under contract (or hopefully even sold) before the holidays.
But, keep in mind, once we hit mid-November, we'll likely see fewer homes come on the market. The market (homes being listed, buyers ready to buy) cools off quite a bit as we move through the holiday season until we get to the first of the year.
So... September and October might be your best opportunity to buy yet this year.
If that matches your planned timeline...
1. Let's chat about what you're looking for in a home, when it comes to location, condition, layout and price.
2. Make sure you have an up to date pre-approval letter from your lender -- or let me know if you need a recommendation for a great local lender.
Ready or not, the Fall market will be upon us soon.
