The Shenandoah Valley is full of amazing views -- with mountains (Massanutten) and mountain ranges in nearly every direction. Thus, it's not surprising that many buyers hope to find a home with a view.
Want a View?
You'll need elevation -- a sloped lot, a house on a hill, a house on a ridge -- that allows your house to sit above surrounding homes and hills. Clearly, the higher you go, the better the view.
Want a View and Privacy?
Here's where it gets trickier. Great views often come from cleared lots -- which can mean nearby homes are within sight, and your home is in sight to those nearby homes. So if privacy is also a top priority, you'll likely need:
1. Elevation - for the view
2. Acreage - for privacy through distance separation
More land means more distance between you and neighbors, allowing you to enjoy the view and feel tucked away on your own.
